PREAMBLE

The formation of European Union (EU) has led to the realisation of a common “market without boundaries” accessible to any one who meets the stringent legislative measures put in place to ensure safety and quality of the products. All products entering the European Union must  have the CE Marking as a proof of compliance to applicable EU Norms and Directives. For most of the products SELF DECLARATION” is applicable where-in the manufacturer can test the products himself (or from a third party) and apply the CE Mark.

Aim of the course:

The EU is the world’s largest single trading block consisting of 27 nations and over 500 million consumers. This course aims to create awareness amongst Electrical & Electronic equipment manufacturers to enable them to meet various requirements of CE marking and the steps they need to take to navigate this regulatory landscape. This course also aims to dispel many doubts and misconceptions about CE marking.

Utility of the course :

This course will help manufacturers to understand detailed technical requirements of CE marking. After attending this course, the manufacturer can immediately start the compliance process, prepare the required documentation and can apply CE marking on product/s. This will enable him/her to access the humongous EU market which can not only give a big boost to product sales but also give him/her an opportunity to explore newer regions of business.
